| YOUTH IN ACTION PROGRAMME
The EU Youth in Action Programme (YiA) is a pan-European initiative which aims to give young people valuable international experience for their personal and professional development, through various activities, within the remit of non-formal education.

Youth in Action aims to respond at European level to the needs of young people from adolescence to adulthood via several specific objectives and priorities. |
YiA is divided into different Actions:
| ACTION 1 - YOUTH FOR EUROPE

Youth for Europe encourages young people's active participation and the development of their concept of citizenship. |
| ACTION 3 - youth in the world |
Youth in the World promotes exchanges and co-operation in the field of youth and non-formal education with other regions of the world.

| ACTION 4 - youth support systems |
Youth Support System is specifically targeted at building the capacity of youth workers and organisations to develop quality activities, thus improving the overall quality of the programme.
|
Youthpass is the European strategy on the validation and recognition of non-formal learning within the context of Youth in Action.
