NORTHERN IRELAND YOUTH AWARDS 2010

SCHOOL LED AWARD


WINNER : Ballymagee Buddies, School Led Project These year six and seven pupils from Ballymagee Primary School volunteered to undertake buddy training, which promotes anti-bullying, safe play and friendship.

RUNNER-UP: St Mary’s Prince's Trust XL Project
The programme, which is equivalent to 2 1/2 GCSEs, runs after school and is attended by 17 pupils.  They cover subjects like personal and interpersonal skills and citizenship.

RUNNER-UP: Kirkiston Primary School
Their winning project was an Intergenerational Project bringing together P7 pupils and older members of the local community to produce a large mosaic depicting the village.
