Youth Work Training Bursaries
The Youth Council offers two training bursaries:
Continuing Professional Development Assistance Scheme - for professionally qualified youth workers who are employed in a full-time capacity with an Education Authority for YCNI recognised youth work organisation who wish to enhance their knowledge in a specific area of practice.
Level 6 Higher Apprenticeship in Youth Work Assistance Scheme - for recognised youth work organisations to enable their Youth Support Work staff to access courses that lead to an initial professional qualification in youth work.
Please note that, due to cutbacks in the public sector, there will be no new bursaries available for the
2015/16 academic year.
It is also an Approved Centre for OCNNI accredited units under a suite of courses, generically called the Training for Youth Work Suite.
