INTRODUCTION TO YOUTH WORK LEVEL 2
COURSE CONTENT
The Introduction to Youth Work unit is a part-time, OCNNI credit-based qualification, which consists of 30 hours of actual tutor/participant contact time.
In addition, candidates will be expected to spend a minimum of 20 hours working with young people in a youth work or community setting over the duration of the course.
Further time beyond this will need to be spent completing associated non-contact tasks (eg. completing worksheets, personal reflection evidence sheets, etc). This will amount to approximately 10 hours.
All candidates will be expected to complete a Personal Reflection Evidence Sheet for each Learning Outcome.
This programme consists of one Unit and contains ten Learning Outcomes.
These are further sub-divided into a series of tasks that they should be able to do, which are listed as Criteria for Assessment.
Candidates who successfully show they have achieved the Learning Outcomes will be awarded an OCNNI Certificate in the Training for Youth Work Programme, Level 2 Introduction to Youth Work Unit.
